Wedding Video or Wedding Photos: Do You Really Need Both?
Short answer: photos and video do different jobs. Photos are what you print, frame and share the next morning; video is the only way to keep voices, vows, laughter and movement. If your budget allows both, get both. If it truly doesn’t, most couples prioritise photos — but the thing people most often regret skipping is the film.
What photos do best
- Portraits and details you will hang on a wall and put in an album.
- Fast turnaround and easy sharing with family.
- A single frame can be more artful than any moving shot.
What video does best
- Your vows, your dad’s speech, your grandmother’s laugh – the sound of the day.
- The way people moved: the first look, the walk down the aisle, the dance floor at 11 pm.
- Guest messages and interviews that become priceless a decade later.
The one-team advantage
When the same studio shoots your photos and your film, the crews plan together, never block each other, and you get one consistent look. It is also cheaper than two separate vendors. That is why our wedding packages are built as photo + video from the start.
If you have to choose
Ask yourself what you will wish you had in ten years. If it is a beautiful album, choose photos. If it is hearing the words that were said, choose a shorter film over a longer photo package. Or talk to us — a scaled-down “ceremony and speeches” film is often more affordable than couples expect. Ask for a quote.
