How Far in Advance Should You Book a Photographer or Videographer in Kelowna?
Short answer: in Kelowna, book weddings 9–18 months ahead for a summer or autumn Saturday, family and portrait sessions 4–6 weeks ahead (longer for autumn colour), real estate within a few days, and business video 2–4 weeks ahead. Last-minute dates do come up — it never hurts to ask.
Weddings
June through October Saturdays go first, often a year or more ahead. Fridays, Sundays and shoulder-season dates are far more available and often better value. See our wedding packages.
Family, child and newborn sessions
Four to six weeks is comfortable. The two exceptions: the two-week blossom window in spring and the vineyard colours in late September, which book up early. Newborns are best filmed and photographed in the first two weeks, so reserve before the due date.
Real estate
We keep space for listings, so a few days’ notice is usually enough and rush turnaround is available.
Business and brand video
Two to four weeks lets us plan the shoot properly and lets you prepare the team and location.
Legacy documentaries
These are scheduled around the family, often around a birthday or reunion — a month or two of planning makes the days together relaxed.
